Action Taken: Court today sentenced two persons to life imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 each.
The accused Yadav and his father Tapeshwar Yadav were were found guilty. The victim Sunita Devi was beaten to death by her in-laws in Gondara village under Anandpur police outpost on April 30, 2010 after her family had failed to give them a motorcycle. Devi's mother had lodged a named FIR against her son in-law and his father charging them with the murder of her daughter for dowry.
